My Last Week

As off next Monday I will be in the employment of the DWP.
This last week with GC has been a very special one, last Friday lorry broke down half way through shift. Had to go back to yard and change vehicle, same happened on Monday. On Tuesday, at the tip I broke down again. Waited 1 1/2 hours to be repaired. Wednesday hit a wooden post while reversing up a narrow street. Damage to rear lights. Yesterday was the first day I managed to get through a shift without something happening.

So the last day, will it be easy or hard?

GC

Did it yesterday, handed in my notice to the office. Last day next Friday.
I must say that some of the comments made by the office were very supportive and not at all what I expected.
I think I am going to be sorry to leave.

Forward to my new life.

Will be handing in my notice to Manpower tomorrow, then will leave at the end off next week, start at the JC+ on the 27th of the month, I am glad, have been thinking that driving is really not for me any more.

My only worry will be that GC take it badly and tell me that they no longer need me. Since I am so short at the moment the last week driving will come in handy.

Looking forward to the new challenge. I hope the job, travel and everything works out.

Good morning.

The great GF gave me a sailing lesson for Christmas. With me out of work for a while, then starting with GC and the job offer from JC+ I felt unable to book the lesson till things settled down.

Things are now settled enough.

Wednesday GF reserved my lesson, 31 July down at Southampton. I have wanted to do this for years now. I am looking forward to this day out. I am going for the lesson on the Friday, GF will then follow down Saturday morning, then we have weekend away.

GF mother is looking after the wee man, our first time away without him.

This will be a strange weekend.
